THE BRIEF
ABB is a pioneering technology leader at the forefront of developing industrial equipment and systems. We were briefed to produce film featuring the story of Dr. Jef Beerten, the first recipient of ABB’s $300,000 Research Award in Honor of Hubertus von Gruenberg.
OUR APPROACH
Filming with the Dr. we spent time capturing a typical day in the life, as Jef went about lecturing students at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) and his studies into “Modelling and Control of DC Grids” at EnergyVille in Belgium.
This self-authored story gives an insight into his interest in research and what it means for his future to receive the inaugural grant from ABB. The film was shown to an invited audience at the awards ceremony in Zurich and is shared with a global audience on YouTube.
