THE BRIEF
Nextdoor is a private social network that connects you with your neighbours and local community. The Good Neighbour Awards are the opportunity for people to nominate outstanding members of their community, who go above and beyond for their neighbours. We were briefed to capture winners’ stories and create films that celebrate their achievements.
OUR APPROACH
The awards in 2020 were dominated by good news stories of how volunteers and businesses rallied around in the COVID-19 pandemic to cook meals for the vulnerable, manufacture protective face masks for frontline care workers and help neighbours who were shielding with daily tasks.
Our creative treatment of creating individual self-authored films gave us the opportunity to hear from neighbours and find out how the winners were helping to build a cohesive society and captures a unique story of how Nextdoor was key to helping neighbourhoods during the pandemic.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Finalist at the Creativepool ANNUAL 2021 awards for ‘Branded Content’.
We knew filming this year’s winners’ stories was going to be a challenge, given the complexity and locations.
Once again Digitom demonstrated their professionalism, enabling us to capture neighbours’ achievements in an unprecedented year.
