Production of a campaign film
Production of a campaign film
Stagecoachis one of the largest bus operators in the country, serving areas including East Kent and East Sussex, with some routes extending to Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells in West Kent. They play a vital role in serving the community but frontline staff frequently encounter incidents of verbal and physical abuse. We were briefed to produce a film to support a Zero Tolerance schools’ campaign, aimed at raising awareness that violence against their colleagues will not be tolerated.
We proposed a creative approach that authentically portrays the experience of facing an unprovoked attack at work by featuring those on the frontline, sharing their personal stories. To highlight the gravity of these situations, we reconstructed a real-life incident alongside one of the self-authored narratives.
By combining a multi-camera interview with slow-motion scenes of our contributors at work, we were able to create a compelling narrative that emphasises the seriousness of these attacks. With stakeholder support from Police forces, the film is shared with secondary schools across Kent and Sussex.
A brief like this, involving a range of community stakeholders, needs to strike a careful balance between challenging the audience in a hard-hitting way while engaging them to understand the core message.
Digitom was able to choreograph exactly what we needed and deliver an impactful film in a meaningful and sensitive way.
