British Transport Police is the national police force that protects the rail network across England, Scotland and Wales, keeping passengers, staff and operators safe every day.
The brief
Policing the rail network offers experienced officers a dynamic public-facing role where quick thinking, sound judgement and compassionate support are essential every day.
We were commissioned to create recruitment content for re-joiners and transferees – experienced police officers considering their next move and looking for an authentic view of the force’s culture, values and employee experience.
Our approach
Working closely with the recruitment team, we created people and culture-led content that puts authenticity, belonging and officer experience at the centre of the story.
The film features first-hand stories from a Police Constable and a Detective Constable, offering insight into their roles, motivations and experience within the force.
These self-authored interviews are paired with cinematic footage from their working environments, including Birmingham New Street station, helping to convey the culture, purpose and everyday experience behind the role.
The outcome
The finished content gives the organisation a focused people and culture recruitment asset designed to engage experienced officers, re-joiners and transferees, using lived experience and professional insight to reflect its culture and support a stronger employer brand.
The film was published on YouTube and featured on the careers website, with short-form social edits created for wider reach. Every version was subtitled in English and Welsh to support accessibility and a consistent cross-platform experience.
Together, these assets support a national recruitment campaign by showcasing culture, values and employee experience to officers exploring a return to policing or a transfer into specialist rail policing.
