Taste of Kent Awards 2024

July 2024

We are delighted to sponsor this year’s Taste of Kent Awards, an event that brings together and celebrates the very best of the county’s food and drink producers.

Now in its 19th year, the Taste of Kent Awards continues to recognise and highlight the outstanding quality of food and drink produced in Kent. The awards shine a spotlight on the region’s excellence in producing high-quality British produce. As the longest-running and most prestigious food and drink awards in the South East, it is open to all businesses located in Kent and Medway.

Showcasing local talent

Facilitated by Produced in Kent, the county’s leading membership organisation for independent food and drink businesses, the awards showcase the talent and dedication of more than 300 growers, producers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and hospitality venues.

This event demonstrates the strength and diversity of the local food and drink sector.

Ceremony and festival

The award ceremony features a Taste of Kent Festival at the University of Kent’s Gulbenkian.

During the daytime festival, finalists have the opportunity to sample and sell their products to both the public and key guests, including regional and national buyers.

This is followed by an exclusive, ticketed evening awards ceremony, where the menu is crafted using produce from all the finalists.

“It’s incredibly important for us that this sector has a voice, we are a farming rural county – our producers are at the heart of that, they’re the custodians.

“It’s really important that people understand the economic value they add to their communities.”
